The club will shortly be submitting a planning application to Trafford Council.  This application will cover both the replacement of our existing floodlights and adding some new floodlights to 2 tennis courts.

The floodlights serving the hockey astro-pitch and the tennis courts are now quite old and we need to replace them with LED lights.  The parts are becoming more difficult and expensive to source, operating costs are higher than they could be, and technology has developed such that the newer LEDs distribute light more evenly over the playing surfaces, but also produce less spill outside of them.

We have been working with lighting consultants and an independent lighting consultant for a number of months to develop what we believe will be the best solution for us and the residents who border our club grounds.

These residents were invited to attend a meeting where the club explained the reasons for the planning application, with a Q&A session at the end.  The minutes of that meeting can be found here.

As a result of the meeting with neighbours, further work was undertaken by the club on the project and the following letter, outlining the changes, dropped to residents border the club grounds on 16th September.
